Believe me when I say, “there is such thing as mobile etiquette”; it’s the act of morally texting and calling [i.e. not drunk calling at 3 in the morning when I'm sleeping, or not attacking my phone with impulsive messages causing a vibrating massacre in my pocket]. Let’s face it, not many people realize they are “mobiley-rude”.

I got big news! I beat brickbreaker on my Blackberry Torch!! WOO! This was my 5th time ever playing brickbreaker and I murked it with 6 lives left. The game starts over again when you beat it just to let all you losers know haha :P

The majority of people my age primarily use their phone for chatting. Chatting is the pleasurable means of periodic communication whether it be phone calls for gossip, plan creation, and drunk urges, or impulsive message sending via instant messaging and email.

I believe that each day a phone call is replaced by a “barrage” of messages. Realizing that, I can support the fact that we live in the digital era: an era where the engaged physically distance themselves in an effort to virtually assimilate. I’m not yet sure if this is a good thing or bad thing, but I know one thing for sure; we are moving into an era where people no longer have to leave their homes!

There’s nothing you or I can do to prevent this, but I sure want to make this movement less annoying! Here is my top three list of unethical message behaviours and ways to ease into the digital era with some sort of class.

1. Impulsive messaging

Eric A: I hate when ppl msg sentence by sentence
Eric A: because it keeps vibrating my pocket
Eric A: multiple msgs sent to support 1 fact
Eric A: that I would understand better if u spent time formulating a paragraph!

Eric A: :)

YO! If you are going to message, be polite! Not even Paris Hilton appreciates impulsive messaging!

This is an easy fix that can be done in a few steps:
1. If you completed Elementary School, think back to the basics you learnt in English class.
2. Think before you type – formulate your thoughts into one package. You WILL type less.
3. Less is more – if you send me a whole bunch of messages that leave me to decipher your point, I will respond with “LOL” regardless of what you sent to me.

3. Picture messages

I am a big BBM user. For people that don’t know what BBM is, it is an acronym for Blackberry Messenger. This is a service that links Blackberry users in a mobile-to-mobile chat interface where users can chat via text, voicenote, pictures, videos, and file sharing.

When sending pictures please don’t be chince. Why would you send me the low quality version when you know your 3.2mp phone camera can take fairly good pictures. I know – I’m a photographer so I appreciate the highest quality images possible. But come on, I’m sure everyone else would love to see what brand thong you are wearing!

Center: my large zipper binder where I keep important documents in a hidden compartment, some pens, business cards, and notes.

My final tip: when it comes to the Digital Era, embrace it. If you don’t you’ll be left in the dust! When everyone is connected and you aren’t, you will cry.

Nuite Blanche is an all-night Toronto art festival that gives visitors a chance to celebrate and experience contemporary art.

This festival is held on various parts of Yonge Street [formerly listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the longest street in the world at 1,896 km] which acts as a host for more than 130 contemporary art exhibits.

This is the meal,
I had in Hong Kong.
It was seven-four dolla,
served by a girl named “Tong”

I spent seven hours in the airport,
I could not sleep.
I wasn’t even hungry but I wanted to eat!

The weather was nice – big, white, bulbous clouds in the sky and blazing sunlight with periods of dark skies and light rain… exactly what I didn’t want!!

What I wanted and really hoped for was overcast skies and dull colours. We did this shoot in the morning too!

But it’s okay, I don’t mind the sunlight; it IS the lighting I specialize in when it comes to photography

I know it seems like I’ve been a ghost with nothing to post since my return to Toronto, but I’ve just been really busy to be honest!

I’m back to my real working life as a young entrepreneur and I’ve taken on a huge project which I will tell you all about as soon as I legally can :)

Now that I’m back to my working life, I don’t have the leisure of freely going out and taking pictures. I also have no time to sift through hundreds of images to find the most amazing ones to edit, compress, upload and post. A piece of my heart is gone now that I have to slow down, but it’s a choice I have to make to get my priorities in line.

This would be a super easy goal to meet if I still lived in Bangkok. But Toronto, like the rest of North America is pretty bland to say the least. Although Toronto is a very multi-cultural place, North Americans in general are pretty cold compared to residents of Asia! [don't hate; just an observation]

The flight from Bangkok to Toronto was pretty long and boring. But it went by smooth and I didn’t get jet lagged at all!

I’ll make up for my absence by blowing out your eyes with these amazing pictures I took during my visit to The Grand Palace

I want this garden at my house..

The Grand Palace complex was established in 1782. It covers an area of 218,000 square meters and is surrounded by four walls, 1900 meters in length – this place is HUGE!

The Palace was ordered to be built by King Rama I after he felt that the previous capital building wasn’t good enough. The new palace was built to serve as his residence and as the site of administrative offices.

My visit to Thailand has been one hell of an adventure. The amazing experiences I’ve had during my four months here are moments I will never forget. None of those experiences would have been possible if I didn’t meet all you amazing people – some which I’ve gotten to know really well and definitely consider my extended family.

Four months may seem like a short time to meet someone then consider them family. But trust me, when you spend time getting to know someone almost everyday it’s hard not to.

The friends I’ve made in Bangkok are some of the most amazing people I’ve met to date. From big hearts to funny personalities, each one of you is truly unique. I am so happy to have met you all and leaving really seems like such a huge feat.

I wish I could tell you, “See you tomorrow”. Even “See you when I see you” isn’t so bad. But “See you in a long time” seems like reality because truthfully I really don’t know when I’ll be back.

If I’m back in a month, the Buddha at the temple answered my prayer. If I’m back in a year then my plan worked out fine. But if it takes longer than that I hope you can hold on to our memories so when I’m back we can have a good laugh over street noodles on Sukhumvit.

I hope I have the chance to say bye to you in person. To those who I haven’t talked to in a while, it was a pleasure meeting you. To those who have left before me, I sure know how you felt when you had to go. And to those who left and already came back, I hope I can do the same!

To my friends and fam I’ve already said bye to, if you cried I’m sorry to have caused you tears. If your crying made me tear that’s our little secret haha! If you’re a guy and hugged me for an extra long time, no homo.

And it’s not ‘goodbye’ – more like see you later!

So if you miss me you know where to find me and see what I’ve been taking pics of. You know I will miss you and I most likely already do…

I literally had milliseconds to capture the shots I wanted because Angie gives me the most amazing smile for a quick second and in an instant she’s gone!

I missed many moments I’ll admit, but as the day progressed I got better at predicting when to pull the trigger.

What I learnt from this shoot in terms of working with children is due to their spontaneous nature a good photographer must correctly predict precious moments before they occur.

The best way to learn is through experience – ain’t no photography book gonna tell you how to predict a moment before it happens!
