The mobile world has become a breeding ground for an epidemic of annoyance. I’m not talking about annoying ringtones and vibrations, but the annoying people that make your mobile phone seem more like a vibrating massager.
Believe me when I say, “there is such thing as mobile etiquette”; it’s the act of morally texting and calling [i.e. not drunk calling at 3 in the morning when I'm sleeping, or not attacking my phone with impulsive messages causing a vibrating massacre in my pocket]. Let’s face it, not many people realize they are “mobiley-rude”.

The majority of people my age primarily use their phone for chatting. Chatting is the pleasurable means of periodic communication whether it be phone calls for gossip, plan creation, and drunk urges, or impulsive message sending via instant messaging and email.
I believe that each day a phone call is replaced by a “barrage” of messages. Realizing that, I can support the fact that we live in the digital era: an era where the engaged physically distance themselves in an effort to virtually assimilate. I’m not yet sure if this is a good thing or bad thing, but I know one thing for sure; we are moving into an era where people no longer have to leave their homes!
There’s nothing you or I can do to prevent this, but I sure want to make this movement less annoying! Here is my top three list of unethical message behaviours and ways to ease into the digital era with some sort of class.
1. Impulsive messaging
Eric A: I hate when ppl msg sentence by sentence
Eric A: because it keeps vibrating my pocket
Eric A: multiple msgs sent to support 1 fact
Eric A: that I would understand better if u spent time formulating a paragraph!
Eric A: LOL
Eric A: :)
YO! If you are going to message, be polite! Not even Paris Hilton appreciates impulsive messaging!
This is an easy fix that can be done in a few steps:
1. If you completed Elementary School, think back to the basics you learnt in English class.
2. Think before you type – formulate your thoughts into one package. You WILL type less.
3. Less is more – if you send me a whole bunch of messages that leave me to decipher your point, I will respond with “LOL” regardless of what you sent to me.
2. Stupid alias’
My name is Eric Angelo, not ∑Яⅰς ∆иб∑レ◊
3. Picture messages
I am a big BBM user. For people that don’t know what BBM is, it is an acronym for Blackberry Messenger. This is a service that links Blackberry users in a mobile-to-mobile chat interface where users can chat via text, voicenote, pictures, videos, and file sharing.
When sending pictures please don’t be chince. Why would you send me the low quality version when you know your 3.2mp phone camera can take fairly good pictures. I know – I’m a photographer so I appreciate the highest quality images possible. But come on, I’m sure everyone else would love to see what brand thong you are wearing!

What I equip myself with each working day.
Top-left: wallet with my various identities, keys to the Porsche, Nivea lip balm, and Khun Luang – my Thai memorabilia.
Center: my large zipper binder where I keep important documents in a hidden compartment, some pens, business cards, and notes.
Top-right: an old issue of Wired I missed because I was in Thailand.
Bottom row: GPS, Blackberry Torch, BlueAnt Bluetooth Headset, Armani Sunglasses, Ray-Ban Sunglasses, Spectacles [each pair for a different identity]

My final tip: when it comes to the Digital Era, embrace it. If you don’t you’ll be left in the dust! When everyone is connected and you aren’t, you will cry.
On that bombshell, this post is complete… O i 4got 2 talk abt anoyin msg grammr… Next time…
